about

Spring is the first song I ever wrote, and it appeared on Clicker's debut album in 1973. Which BTW placed #15 in the top 25 pop albums ever recorded in Madison in an Isthmus poll. This is a simple acoustic version recorded in GarageBand, two tracks, one with guitar and vocals, and the other a guitar overdub. Simple, no eq, no reverb, nothing.

lyrics

Now at last winter is at an end
Now comes the task which all new life demands
Spring now is soon at hand

Sun shining weather's fair
Life growing everywhere
Birds sing, take a stroll look at everything
The air is fresh and clean
So much of life to be seen

Now drift away now let me lie and watch
A new start today Trees shake off morning dew
Life has begun anew

Warm fragrant breezes blow
Streams winding rivers flow
Trees growing tall to see
Fields and meadows seem to be calling me

"Magic Wind" is my most personal CD. After I wrote 'She Liked The Wind', I realized I had written several songs about a failed relationship that included or referenced the wind, and her. I think they make up a collection of songs that fit together and tell a story.
